The Boys 2nd Birthday

We had a fun party for the boys on Sunday. We had my parents over for a BBQ and presents. It was fun. For their birthday they got some clothes, cars, Geotrax trains, shoes, a lawn mower bubble blower and a activity center for outside. They love all of their stuff. We also had cake and ice cream. I had a good friend of mine make the cakes for the boys. She did an incredible job. The cakes were so cute, I didn't even want to eat them. Here are some fun pictures of their big day.

Aiden loved playing basketball in their new little activity center.

Brock kept going up and down the slide.

Collin claimed ownership to this lawn mower and I think he mowed for an hour straight out in the backyard.

Terrible Twos Times Three

I can't believe the day is here. My 3 little miracle babies are turning 2 today. The past two years have been full of fun, adventure, hard work, and enjoyment. I never in a million years figured I would be able to survive having 3 babies at one time, but somehow I have managed to figure it out. All we need is a daily routine and to stick to the schedule and we manage to survive. It has been amazing to watch them grow and change over the last 2 years, and I can't wait to see how much they change during this next year.

Aiden 2 years ago:
Aiden 1 year ago:
Aiden now:

His nickname is Aido and he has the funniest laugh I have ever heard. He loves tv and would sit in front of it all day if I let him. He loves to tease the other boys and steal their toys. He is so lovable and so darn cut.

Brock 2 years ago:
Brock 1 year ago:
Brock now:

His nickname is Brocky and he loves his mommy. When someone else comes around he is always clinging to me and wants me to hold him. He loves electronics and does anything he can to get ahold of them. He is the whiniest of the three, but he has a darling smile that makes up for it.

Collin 2 years ago:

Collin now:

His nickname is Collie. He is my calmest little guy. He loves balls and cars and will throw anything he gets his hands on. He loves to shake his head and say "uh uh" to everything. He has a cute little personality and has me wrapped around his finger.

We love you three little stinkers to death and wish you a Happy 2nd Birthday. We can't imagine life without you.

4th of July Fun

We had a really fun weekend. On Friday afternoon we headed for Utah. That night we went to Cherry Hills with my brother and sister-in-law and their two kids. It was so much fun. The kids really enjoyed it too. The lazy river was the favorite for us. We put all of the boys in tubes and went around several times. They weren't so sure at first, but they warmed up to it. As we were leaving Matt, Paige and Kayla went down the dragon waterslide several times. They loved it. I was amazed at how well the boys did. Collin wasn't feeling to well, and he still did pretty good.

Saturday we took the girls to Toy Story 3. It was so good. We all loved it. After the movie, we took the girls back to Matt's parents house and left all of the kids with them, and Matt and I went down to Provo with his brother and sister-in-law and then met up with his twin and his wife. We went to dinner at Los Hermanos. Yummy!!!!!!!! Then we headed to the Stadium of Fire to see Carrie Underwood. I was so excited. We have had the tickets for awhile and I was so excited to go. The concert was so incredibly good. I think I sang along to every song she sang. Then at the end we watched the fireworks. It was so much fun.

Sunday we stayed and went to church with Matt's parents and then most of the family came for dinner. It was fun to see everybody. When it got dark enough we went outside and did fireworks. The girls loved it. I tried to keep the boys awake long enough to see them, but with no afternoon nap, I just couldn't take any more whining. So they missed the fireworks, but like Matt said, they won't remember them anyways.

Yesterday morning we got up and loaded the car and headed for home. We were minus 2 passengers, because we left the girls for the week at Grandma and Grandpa Nielson's. They were so excited and they will have lots of fun. It is awfully quiet here today. I am so used to having them around and now I realize how busy they keep me. I am sure by the end of the week I will be ready to have them home. It should be another fun filled weekend, because when they get home we will be celebrating the boy's 2nd birthday. I can't believe they will be 2 in 5 days. Time flies when you're having fun.

Weekend Adventures

We had a fun weekend at our house. Matt was out of town, so it was just me and the kids. On Friday night we went up to my Mom's and had pizza with them. Then we took the kids outside and they played forever. They love to be outside and they have so much fun.

Collin, Brock and Aiden playing on the slide that Grandpa hasn't put on the swingset yet.

Saturday we tried out our new pool. We bought a bigger size this year, since we have so many more kids that we need to fit in the pool. I had filled it Saturday morning hoping it would get warm for them to get in. The girls didn't mind getting in, but the boys wanted nothing to do with getting in. So they stood on the patio and played with their shovels in the water. Brock loved it the most out of all of them and at one point Aiden and Collin wanted nothing to do with the pool. They just wanted to sit on the swing with me and watch. After a few times, I am hoping they will decided to get in. We will just have to wait and see.

Aiden, Collin and Brock deciding on whether to like the pool or not.

Sunday was Father's day, and Matt was gone, so we didn't really do much for him. After church we went up to my Mom and Dad's for dinner and Matt arrived not long after we got there. The kids were really excited to see him and it was fun to spend time with my dad (Grandpa) also.

Last night Matt finally attached the other bike trailer to his bike. I have been asking him to do this forever. He finally did and we were able to go on a family bike ride to the Nature Park. Paige rode her bike and she did really well. She was kind of nervous to ride that far, but she did really good. We fed the ducks and it was really fun to watch the boys. They love to make noises at the ducks and just watch us feed them. When I got the bread out for the girls, the boys wanted some, but not to feed the ducks, but for themselves. I thought it was pretty funny to watch them on the bench eating their bread.

We had a lot of fun outdoors and I am so glad the week looks nice so we can spend alot more time outside.

Summer Fun

It is finally starting to feel like summer today. The weather has been cold and yucky for June, but not today. We got sun and 70 degrees. Yeah!!! It is about time, because my kids have been itching to get outside.

Last week it took all week for Brock to get over his rash and his temperature. By Friday he was acting more like himself. None of the others have really gotten what he had. Collin has only gotten the rash a few times and then it goes away and comes back the next day. At least he hasn't gotten the fever. That was the miserable part.

This week has been super busy. The girls took swimming lessons every morning. It was great. Paige is actually swimming some by herself. I am so proud of her. This was Kayla's first swimming lesson experience, and she did really well. They have both loved it and want to go again. I found a lady out in Hibbard that teaches at her indoor pool at her house. It was so great and the water was warm and it was a good experience for them.

Monday, Paige started Piano lessons. She is excited and has been doing really well. This was our second week of gymnastics as well. They each get an hour a week and they really enjoy the time to just move around and learn new things. The week has been busy, but I guess that's what summer is supposed to be. BUSY.

Matt left yesterday and is gone until Sunday. He went with his twin brother and some of their roommates from college, to Ferron Reservoir. It was an all time favorite fishing spot during his growing up years and he was really looking forward to it. So the kids and I are trying to survive without him. Hopefully I am still sane when he gets back.

Paige's Baptism

Saturday was the big day for Paige. She was so excited and could hardly waited to get baptized by her dad. We had a lot of our family come to share this special day with her. The baptism was really nice and she said the water felt so warm when she got in. She really enjoyed the moment and we are so proud of her.

Afterwards we had everyone over for a light brunch. It was fun to visit and see everyone. We had a fun time. Paige was so excited because she got her very own set of scriptures. She had asked for them for her birthday and when she didn't get them she was disappointed. Little did she know that I had stashed them away for her baptism.

Weekend Wrapup
After the baptism and after everyone had gone home, we took the kids to ride on the Carosel and play at the park. Aiden and Brock love the carosel, but Collin absolutely hates it. He cries when you put him on a horse. Matt watched from outside the second time we rode, and he still cried. I hope he learns to like it, because we are planning on riding it several times this summer. Matt's brother and his family stayed so it was fun to spend some time with them.

Sunday at church Brock was really whiny so I took him out in the hall. We sat on the couch and I noticed he had little bumps on his leg that looked like little spider bites. I had also noticed that he was feeling really warm and fevery. There was someone sitting on the couch by us and she said it looked like the chicken pox. So as soon as sacrament ended, I sent Matt home with the boys and Kayla. She had a little rash on her chest and arm that had gone away, but I wasn't taking any chances. When I got home from church, the rash was gone. Then a couple hours later it was back again and I could tell it itched. I was pretty sure it was the pox.

He woke up in the night with a pretty high fever and was really miserable. Then in the morning the spots were gone. After about an hour they were back again. Can I just say mystery disease. So I took him to the doctor and he said it was a viral rash. So I just give him meds for the fever and Claritin for the the viral part. He did alright yesterday, but by last night he was hot and miserable again. In the middle of the night he woke up with a very high fever. When I first took his temp, it said 105, but I took it instantly again and it said 104.8. I was about to haul him the ER, but he started cooling down. The poor kid. He just isn't himself. I sure hope he gets over this soon, because it is taking its toll on my sleep.

She's Finally 8

It has been a fun filled weekend. On Friday, we headed up to Island Park for the annual Hill Family Reunion. We stayed in a cabin with my parents and my sister and her family. The weather was rainy, cold and even snowy. The best day was yesterday, which is pretty typical. We had so much fun and we ate some of the yummiest food. The boys were so good and they had a fun time. The only part they didn't like was the weather. They got cold and kind of miserable. The girls had fun in the hot tub with Matt and their cousins. They loved making Smores and Kayla even roasted a marshmallow by herself. All in all it was a really fun and relaxing weekend spent with family.

Yesterday was Paige's 8th birthday. She woke up with a stomach bug. I thought she was feeling better until we drove home. She got really carsick. After we got home, she slept for a couple of hours and woke up totally recovered. We had pizza for dinner as per her request. Then my mom, dad, sister and nieces came over for cupcakes and ice cream and presents. She got alot of fun summer clothes, a CTR ring and a scooter. After the party, we took all the kids over to the Nature Park and fed the ducks. Paige really wanted to go fishing, so that is where we took her. She caught 2 perch and 2 lake trout. The boys loved feeding the ducks and I have a feeling we will be spending alot of time at the Nature Park this summer. She had a fun day and I can't believe she is 8 years old. She is such a joy to have in our home and she is such a wonderful helper. She is looking forward to Saturday, when she will be baptized. It will be a fun and busy week, but we are really excited for the weekend. We love you Paige and are proud to have you for a daughter and are proud of the choices you have made.
