Almost Rolling

Well I finally got my computer back. Hopefully I won't get any more viruses. We had to get it wiped clean and it's like starting from scratch getting everything back on here. Oh well, at least it works.

It has been so freezing cold. This morning they canceled school for Paige because the temperature was -18 and then there was wind chill. So I had a long day listening to Paige and Kayla argue about everything under the sun. I am really hoping that she goes back tomorrow, because she thinks it is great missing school, but I don't because it is that much harder to get her back in the swing of things.

The boys continue to do so well and are still healthy. I am keeping my fingers crossed. They are so darn close to rolling over. Today Brock was laying on the floor with a toy above him. He tried to roll and rolled right into the side of the toy and then he grabbed on to it and couldn't figure out how to let go. He started getting mad and I had to take some pictures of the cute boy. He is just so cute and has a fun little personality. He is so smily and happy, but don't get me wrong he still has those moments.

I heard on the news this morning about a lady in CA who had octuplets. Heaven help her. I thought three was bad, but I can't even imagine 8. Like my motto says: "It could always be worse." Some days I have to repeat that over and over to myself and I am amazed at what I am able to get through.

Growing Boys

Well I was able to find my plug for my camera card. I was able to get me photos downloaded. The boys are just so fun to take pictures of. It is really hard to get them to cooperate and all smile and look at the same time. Here are several pictures. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Aiden, Brock and Collin. Matt was taking the picture and I was standing to the side. They weren't paying any attention to him, only to me. I guess I should take the pictures.

The boys got Raggedy Andy dolls from Grandma Ricks for Christmas. They love to hold them and chew on them. They are pretty cute.

Crash!!

Sorry it has been so long once again. I managed to really mess up our computer with several viruses. I guess that is what I get for downloading a bunch of digital scrapbooking freebies (my new addiction). So now I am forced to use my laptop that isn't quite as good, but it will do.

The boys continue to grow and change daily. Last Thursday I had to take them in for an appointment and I was shocked to see the results of how much they weigh. Aiden weighs 15 lbs. 5 oz. and is 24" long. Brock weighs 13 lbs. 10 oz. and is 23 1/2" long. Collin weighs 14 lbs. 12 1/2 oz. and is 23 1/4" long. I just can't believe they weigh so much. Since they are 6 months old, I decided to try and see how they did with rice cereal. Aiden kind of thought about it, Brock just spit it out completely and I didn't even try Collin. I think I will give it another month and try again. They are all so close to rolling over. Brock gets almost over and then he gets so mad because he can't get over. I think within the next week or two they will be rolling.

Kayla continues to be busy and defies everything I say. We continue to butt heads on most issues, but we are surviving. We went this morning to meet her new preschool teachers. She starts going on Thursday morning, so I think that will be really good for her. Paige had a long weekend so that was nice to have her home yesterday, but it was a battle yet again this morning to get her back to school. She will finally get it figured out just when school gets out for the summer I am sure.

I am sitting here watching the Inauguration of Barrack Obama, a day in history. I was remembering back to when I was able to go to Washington D.C. and participate in the Inauguration of President Clinton and be in the Inaugural Parade. It was a real incredible experience, and it is just really neat to watch today and remember back to when I was there 12 years ago.

Well I hopefully will get my computer fixed soon and then I will be able to post more. I will try to get a picture on, but I can't find my chord for this computer. So long for now.

Still Here

Life just doesn't get any calmer. I thought with Christmas done and on to the new year, life would mellow a little. I was wrong. I am just trying to stay caught up on laundry, cleaning, kids and more kids. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change a thing, but I do wish for a little more "me time." That is one area I am lacking in. Kayla is draining my energy daily. She is constantly butting heads with me over something. It is usually that she wants to wear her Cinderella dress all day, or watch show after show. I don't cave that easily anymore, and she does spend some quality time in her room.

The boys are growing and changing so fast. We are on to 3-6 months clothes and they are now taking 5-6 oz. every 4 hours. Some days it seems like they are just starving to death. We seem to have finally found their routine and they are all sleeping through the night. That is the best moment of the day. Putting them down at night and knowing that I won't have to get up until the next morning.

Paige is finally back into the routine of school just in time for the weekend. It took her a few days to decide that she still liked school. The first day back after the two week vacation, she left for school crying because she wanted me all day and she was feeling sick. I think I have figured out that she has "Mommy Separation Anxiety." I have noticed it more in the last 4 to 5 months. I think being away from me so much this last summer has really tramatized her. We are slowly working through it and we have good days and bad days.

I must confess that all of my free time lately has been absorbed into digital scrapbooking. I am becoming very addicted and that is all I want to do when I sit down at the computer. I will try to be better at blogging and keeping everyone updated. I am excited for the chance to finally get some long awaited projects done with this New Year, so I hope I can be as productive as my list is long.

Christmas

I figured better late than never to give an update on Christmas. We had a wonderful time. On Christmas Eve we all went to my parents and had a yummy dinner and then each of the kids got to open one present. Of course, it was jammies.

On Christmas Day, my parents came over to share in the fun. The kids had so much fun and loved all of their stuff. My favorite was after we opened the stocking stuff first, Kayla said "I didn't get what I wanted." We assured her that there was more that she hadn't opened yet and after opeing all of that, she was happy. Paige's favorite was her chalkboard. She loves to play school and she is loving that. Kayla got a playhouse and she loves to play restaraunt with that. They both got Leapsters and they are constantly playing those. The boys got toys, toys and more toys, that they will be interested in one day. We had so much snow on Christmas, that it was incredible. We definately had a white Christmas.

Brock, Collin, Aiden

The kids have been busy every day playing with all of their new stuff, playing out in the snow and spending some time with their cousins who are staying at Grandma and Grandpas for a few days. I love this time of year and can hardly believe that it has come and gone. Now we are on to 2009 and I can hardly wait to see what adventures 2009 will hold.

Let It Snow!!!!

What a weekend. It has snowed, snowed and snowed some more. Over the last 24 hours we have gotten 12 inches of new snow. The kids absolutely love it. They want to play outside constantly. Matt used the 4-wheeler and made a big pile in the middle of the front yard for them to play on. I am sure before to long most of the neighborhood will be over here. We are definately going to have a white Christmas.

The boys are still doing really good. They are awake alot more, so I am finding the hours in the day that I have to myself dwindling. They are so smiley all the time and are such content happy boys. They are just really fun.

Aiden loving the animal swing.

Paige is out of school now for 2 weeks. So today we made gingerbread cookies and played in the snow. I am trying to figure out some more little activities to keep the kids occupied during the break. She also pulled another tooth this morning. She has a large hole in the front and is now wanting 4 teeth for Christmas.

If I don't have time to post before Thursday, I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Chrismtas. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends and family in our lives.

Joy

Life gets a little crazy around my house. Every day is a new adventure, some days good, some days not so good. I wonder how I am ever going to survive until tomorrow. Then I just look at the three smiling faces of my cute little boys and I realize how blessed I am. This year has definately been the most trying year for me. I have had many ups and downs, but the end result has been so worth the journey. I am just so very grateful each day for my wonderful family and for my 3 little joys in my life. I have realized that I will make it through each day and I can hardly wait to see what next year brings.
