What a busy weekend. On Friday, Matt and I were able to go Idaho Falls on a date. We ate dinner at Cafe Rio and then went shopping for a new washing machine. Mine is dying. It will wash the clothes, but it won't rinse or spin out unless I hit it and bang on it repeatedly while turning the dial. It stinks. Of one thing to break, the washing machine is one of the worst. I do 2 loads of laundry at least each day, so I am dying. We were successful in finding one we liked. I really debated between top load and front load and I finally decided on top load after researching all the pros and cons. Since we are going to be moving the old out and the new in, we decided it was time to also finish the bathroom/laundry room downstairs. Like we needed anymore projects.
Saturday was a full day. Paige had a birthday party to go to in the morning. She went to the beauty college and they got their nails and hair done. She had such a fun time. When she got home I couldn't believe how grown up and cute she looked. After she got home from the party we had one hour to finish getting ready for her birthday party.
She invited all the girls from her class at school. The theme for the party was "A Trip Around the World." The invitations were a boarding pass and then we made each one a passport for when the arrived. I set up a bunch of chairs in the living room and we made the airplane for their ride on Birthday Airlines. At each destination they got a stamp for their passport and we did an activity related to the country. It was a big hit and I think all of the girls had fun. For her cake we made a map. I was nervous that it wouldn't work, but I thought it turned out really cute. She had a fun party and loved it.
After the party Matt and I began work on our remodeling project. I painted the bead board while Matt got the floor ready. We ripped carpet out, took the toilet off and had to move the washer and dryer out. Can I just say I am so glad we don't have carpet in anymore of our bathrooms. It gets really gross. So we started laying the vinyl down around 8 p.m. and after I put all the kids to bed, I helped with the floor. We stuck with it and finished around 11 p.m. It looks so nice and I can hardly wait to get me new washer and dryer this coming week.
The boys are so funny. In the mornings while I get ready they think they have to lay on my bed and watch a cartoon. That is the routine they have gotten into and so they throw a huge tantrum if they don't get to watch a show. They other morning it was so cute to look out of the bathroom and I just had to capture the sight I saw. It was priceless.

I love the birthday idea! It sounds like a lot of fun. You are right those boys are priceless - enjoy them they grow so fast.
Paige looks so beautiful, I might have to see if they do that at the beauty college around here, then I wont have to stress about her hair when she has her b-day pictures. The boys are so cute.
Sounds like a fun party. That cake is amazing!
