Nine Years

Today is our 9th Anniversary. I remember that it was a nice but windy day. Not like today at all, rainy/snow mix. Isn't this lovely April weather? It is crazy to think how much has happened and changed in our lives over these past nine years. Matt is the best husband and father and best friend anyone could have. He is such a hard worker and always has something going. Though he doesn't have much free time, he always manages to spend time with me and the kids. (Just not as much as I'd like.) The kids absolutely adore him and light up when he comes home. I know I definately wouldn't have made it through the past nine years, especially last year, without him. I love you Matt and look forward to many more years together. XOXOXOXO

Weigh In

Yesterday I had to take the boys for an appointment. The only thing to look forward to at those is to see how much they weigh. I am quite impressed with my little guys, they are not so little anymore.

Aiden weighs 19 lbs. 1 oz. and is 26" long. Brock weighs 16 lbs. 14 oz. and is 25 3/4" long and Collin weighs 18 lbs. 8 oz. and is 26" long. Who would ever have thought that after starting out so small that at nine months they would weigh so much. I am starting to feel it too. They are real tankers to carry around. My muscles are definately getting a work out.

Last night when I was getting them ready for bed I just had to take a shot of them naked all togehter.

Easter

We had a fun Easter weekend. On Friday we left and went to Utah. What a task to get everyone and everything ready. It took awhile, but I didn't forget anything. I was nervous to see how the boys would do, but they were super. They slept most of the way and were just really good travelers. Friday night we went to our brother and sister-in-laws and the girls dyed Easter eggs with their cousin Josh. They had a lot of fun.

Saturday morning Matt took the girls to an Easter Egg hunt. They had a lot of fun. They didn't get as many eggs as they wanted, but they got some fun little prizes. Then we went to Highland for our nephew Jacob's baptism. It was nice. The whole family was there so it was fun to see everyone. Saturday night I went with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law and my niece and nephew and we went the BYU's Ballroom Dance performance. It was so good. I am really into Ballroom dance. I don't dance, but I love to watch it.

Noah (cousin), Aiden, Collin & Brock all lined up.

Sunday after church we headed home and we survived in one piece. It was a lot of work getting ready and going, but it was fun to get away. Next time we go, we are headed to Lake Powell (the end of May) and it is an 11 hour drive. That should be interesting.

Spring?

Yes I am here. Time really flies and I don't realize it until I look at the date of my last post. We are surviving. The boys are all sick again. Aiden just has a stuffy nose and is a happy content baby. Brock has the stuffy nose and cough and wants to be held constantly. He cries constantly and since I have 2 other babies, it is impossible to hold him as much as he wants. Last night was a real treat. I was up most the night with him. Every time I got him to sleep, I would go to lay him down and he would wake up. So we spent the night on the couch. I think I finally went to sleep around 5 a.m. I am rather tired today, but I think I am going to survive. Collin also has the stuffy nose and cough. He was the first to get it so I am hoping he is almost over it. I am getting tired of each baby puking every time I feed him. I am doing twice as much laundry. We will get through it though.

Paige had Spring Break Friday and Monday and it was nice to have her home. She is really into helping with things. I am not complaining at all. She helps unload and load the dishwasher, set the table and all sorts of things. I hope this doesn't wear off. It is kind of starting to look like Spring outside. Today is supposed to be pretty nice, but then we are going to get rain the rest of the week. I am ready for nice sunny weather, so the kids can play outside and ride their bikes. They are also looking forward to it.

A couple of weekends ago, we got our first family picture taken since the babies were born. It was a lot of work to get everyone looking and ready, but it was worth it. We got some really good pictures of the family and the kids. I guarantee you that this will be a once a year or maybe once every other year project.

Weekend

This weekend the weather was so nice. We were able to spend alot of time outside which was a wonderful change. We even put the tramp up for the kids on Saturday. I broke out the triple stroller and put the boys in and then we went for a walk around the block. The stroller is huge, and somewhat hard to turn, but it will work. It is just nice to be able to have something to put all the boys in and they loved it.

Matt's weekend project was tearing the deck apart so he can get things started on the addition. We are going to add a dining room onto the back . It will be about the same size as the deck. We needed more room and a place to put a bigger table so it will be really nice when it is done. At least this time the mess won't be in my house. We won't knock out the back doors until all the construction is done. That's my favorite part.

This was part way through the project. There are no remains of the deck anymore.

I realized this week how fast your life can change. On Wednesday morning my dad had a heart attack and got two stents put in. We almost lost him and it was really scary. He said he knew he had seen everyone their last time and he knew he was done. But for some unseen reason, he was given the chance to stay with us for longer. I am so thankful for that. My boys are a highlight in his life and it would have been really sad thinking that they never got to know their grandpa. We spent alot of time with grandpa this weekend. He is home doing pretty good. He just has to take it kind of slow for awhile. I love my dad and am grateful that he is still with us. We love you grandpa.

Entertainment

I must admit that I just don't have time to entertain all of my kids. There just isn't enough time in the day (or maybe it is because I have too many kids). Anyhow. When they lay on the floor to play I have discovered that if you put them under an activity gym, they will be entertained for hours. Well at least my kids are. They are so worth the money, especially if you have 3 kids.

Brock loves this little frog. Whoever plays under this always has the frog in his mouth. I know that spreads lots of germs, but what do you do?

The boys are doing so good lately. They are all staying healthy and we are starting to work on sitting up. They are getting pretty good at that.

It is looking more and more like Spring every day and we are loving it. The girls love to go outside and ride their bikes, or draw with sidewalk chalk. It is so nice and quiet in the house when they go out and play. I love it. Soon we will all be able to go out and maybe even start taking some walks. That will be the best. I have Spring Fever really bad and I can hardly wait for summer. My summer was shot last year, so I am looking forward to a fun one this year.

Three Smiling Faces

The other day when I was fixing lunch I had all the boys in their high chairs. They were peeking over the edge of the counter watching me like hawks. It was way too cute to pass up. How often do you see three cute little faces all lined up like that. They have started eating cereal at night. They don't do very well yet, but they are getting used to it. Hopefully they can get enough in their little tummys to make one less bottle feeding session for me. That would be great.
