First day of School
It is crazy to think that the summer has already come and gone. We were so busy this summer that the time just flew by. We were all ready to get back on a schedule and hit the books again. The girls love school and were anxious for the last couple of weeks of summer to pass. Paige is a big 6th grader this year and Kayla is in 3rd. They grow up so fast.
Mesa Falls
A few days before school started, my mom and I took the kids for one last hurrah before school started. We took them up to Mesa Falls. We were able to have a picnic, see the gorgeous falls, feed the duck and fish and just enjoy the beautiful outdoors that are so close to us. It was a lot of fun and we got some fun pictures.

Logan
Last weekend the kids and I headed to Logan to see my sister. I took the kids up to the Logan Temple. They had never seen it, so they loved it. Matt had gone with the youth to Youth Conference and the girls and I met up with him at the Martin Harris Pageant in Clarksdale. My sister was nice to keep the boys and take them to the park. We had fun.
Saturday we took the kids to the zoo in Logan. It was small but just right. We had fun just hanging out and the kids loved being at Aunt Liz's house. We had a fun weekend.
High School get together
It was so fun to get together with some of my good friends from High School. We just ate, talked, took a tour of the new High School and went to the Playmill. We had such a fun time and we stayed up way to late, but it was so fun to catch up. I have some of the greatest friends and it is crazy to think that we have stayed in touch with one another. Thanks girls for a fun weekend.
Kayla turned 8
Kayla celebrated her eighth birthday last week. It is hard to believe she is 8 years old. She got to have a birthday party with her friends. The theme she chose was Lego Friends. It was a lot of fun and she had fun celebrating with her friends.
For her birthday we went to the summer movie, "The Croods." Then we had Grandma and Grandpa Ricks over for birthday dinner. Then presents. She had a great birthday and we love having her in our family.
Girls Weekend
The girls and I were able to go to West Yellowstone for the weekend with my mom, sister and her two girls. We had a lot of fun checking out all of the shops, eating yummy food and going to see "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" at the Playmill. It was so good.
The next day we drove into the park and went to see Old Faithful. It was a lot of fun and we had fun seeing my sister and her girls.
While we were on our girls weekend, Matt took the boys and they went camping down to Mona, Utah, to his mom's family reunion. They had a lot of fun and got to go on a hay ride to see the old farm and played alot with cousins.
Soccer
Both girls played soccer this summer. Paige was able to play on a full size soccer field this year, and that really gave her a run for her money. Her team was always short a few players, so most of the games she played the entire time and the temperature was in the 90's. I felt really bad for her, but she had a lot of fun and really loves soccer.
Kayla played for the first time this year and her dad was her coach. She played on a much smaller field and didn't get as into it as Paige, but she had a fun time. She even scored a goal on their last game.
