Blessing Day

Today was the bug day. We took the boys to church and they were all blessed by their dad. It was a really nice day. We had a lot of family who made the trip up and we really appreciate them. Afterwards, we all congregated at our house for a lunch. I didn't realize how crazy it is to get all of us ready for church. Thanks to Lisa and Christine, we all made it on time. Here are some pictures of our day.

Busy Week

Yes, life is busy. This week it seems like I haven't many moments to just sit down. This is one of them, so I thought I better update my blog. Last weekend was really nice. On Saturday night the girls and I went to a Proform Airborne jump rope show. It was so fun to take the girls and let them watch something that I used to do. Paige was totally enthralled and loved every minute. She wants to start going to jump rope and learn the ropes. It was also fun to see so many of my friends and old teammates. It was just really nice to get out.

On Sunday Paige had her Primary Program at church. She did so good. She knew her part and she sang her little heart out. I am amazed at how grown up she is getting. On our way up to my mom and dad's for dinner we stopped at the college gardens and I took some fun pictures of the girls together. I have been wanting to do this for awhile and we finally got out. It was such a nice night and we got some really fun pictures.

Matt's parents came last night and Matt and his Dad left this morning for a few days fishing in Salmon. They were going to camp out in a tent and I don't envy them one bit sleeping out in the 20 degree night. Matt's mom is here with me and the kids. It is so nice having her here and helping out. It makes everything go so much faster. I was also able to get outside today and do some much needed yard cleanup before the snow flies.

The boys are doing so well. They just continue to grow daily. I can't believe they are getting so big and I can't believe how fast time is going. I must admit I do have days where I can't take any more and I just need a break, but I have more good days than bad days, so that is good.

No More O2

It is official. Brock is no longer on the oxygen. Yeah!!! After 3 months of always having something up his nose, he is tube free. It was so nice to take it off of him. His poor little cheeks have little red marks from the adhesive stuff, but I'm sure that will clear up. It is almost like having once less child now that I don't have to lug that oxygen tank around. So that is the big news for today. I was so excited I had to share it with you all. Here is his first official picture without the oxygen.

Growing Boys

Yesterday we had to take the boys in for an appointment. Matt went with me, since I had to take all three of them. I feel like a parade as we walk down the hall. I am sure we are quite a sight. All is well with all three of them and they are all growing and getting so big. Aiden weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs. 6 oz. and he is 19 3/4" long. Brock weighs 7 lbs. 6 oz. and is 19" long. Last but not least, Collin weighs 7 lbs. 15 1/2 oz. (so pretty much 8 lbs.) and is 19 1/4" long. They are all fairly close in size but you can definately tell Aiden is the biggest. After holding Brock and then picking up Aiden you can feel the difference.

Paige went back to school today after a week and a half off. She wasn't to sure about going, but she was excited to show all of her friends her new haircut. Kayla also had preschool this morning, so I actually had a couple of hours to myself. The babies were all asleep, so I was able to get a little cleaning done. I would have preferred to be doing digital scrapbooking, but I will find another free moment for that.

Winter is Here

How sad is it that we had our first snow storm this past weekend. It is only the middle of October. I am so not ready for winter. We hardly had any fall. It is gradually getting warmer this week, so I hope it really will get in the high 50's by the weekend.
All is well with us. The boys continue to grow and are healthy as ever. They are starting to be a lot more alert and it is fun to watch their little eyes wander around the room. They definately are good babies, but they do have moments. Last night was one of them. Matt was gone down to school, so it was just me and the kids. All three boys after they ate cried, because they didn't want to be in their bouncy seats. They of course all wanted held at the same time. Since I only have two hands, I picked up Collin, who was by far the most upset. Thank goodness my parents stopped at that moment. We each held a baby and got them calmed down. I don't know what I would do without help from family. They do so much to help me.
Matt bought me a new camera a few weeks ago, and I am still trying to get it figured out. I would really like to be able to take some cool pictures, but I need to practice with it a little. I did take these pictures of the boys and thought I would share them with you.

I am ... Me

I was tagged by Kristen. These questions were really tough. Even though I tried to be positive these answers kind of sounds depressing.

i am: a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend
i think: I am really lucky to be a mom to five wonderful kids.
i know: that I am loved by my family
i dislike: cold weather, especially today. I am not ready for winter
i miss: the days when I could just pick up and go whenever I wanted to run to town.
i fear: death
i feel: tired. I didn't get a nap today and I am feeling the effects.
i hear: kids playing little people (louder than I want them to be).
i smell: cold air. I was just outside and it is really brisk out
I love to eat: Mexican food.
i cry: not much anymore. I shed all of my tears over the summer.
i usually: eat to many junk foods during the day
i search: the internet for free digital scrapbook downloads. That is my new favorite pastime on the computer besides blogging.
i wonder: what my boys are going to look like and who they will look like.
i regret: I can't think of any regrets at the moment
i care: for my kids more than anything in the world
i always: take a shower each morning
i am not: having any more kids
i remember: the song of the counties of Idaho clear back from fourth grade
i believe: that the Lord works in mysterious ways
i dance: with my kids
i sing: to my kids and in the car
i don’t always: like to clean
i argue: with my kids
i write: on my blog
i win: at Free Cell
i lose: not many things. If it is lost, I can usually find it.
i wish: I had a million dollars.
i listen: to music all the time. I like noise
i don't understand: some people
i can usually be found: at home
i am scared: that things will change sooner than I want them to.
i need: to go make dinner
i am happy: with me.

Graham Crackers

The girls and I had a fun day today. I have been trying to find fun things to do with them while Paige is out of school. I came across a cute idea on the internet. We made graham cracker halloween houses. It was actually alot of fun. They both got to decorate their own and it was fun to see how different they made their house. Kayla was quick at decorating hers and I think she ate more candy than she got on her house. Paige used every piece of candy and would have used more if we had more. It was something that they really enjoyed doing.

New Do

Paige has been out for Potatoe Harvest this whole week. All week she has been driving me nuts about getting her hair cut. I didn't really pay attention to her at first, because she always is wanting her hair longer. She kept persisting and so I finally asked her if she really wanted it short. She said she did, so I took her today and she got her wish. I can't believe how fast she is growing up.

EKG

Today, Matt and I had to take Aiden to a Cardiology appointment at EIRMC for his heart murmur. I was really glad that the Cardiologist from the University of Utah comes up to Idaho Falls once a month. When we got there, they hooked a bunch of cords up to him and did an EKG. Things are looking good. He still has it, but it is small. As long as he is still eating well and growing well there isn't much to worry about. We take him back in four months to follow up and hopefully by then it will be gone.
The boys are alot more alert this week. I am noticing lots of changes that way. They are still eating every 4 hours, so that is good. Hopefully we can make that time a little longer. We just keep plugging along taking life a day at a time.

Triplet Facts

I thought I would put together a list of the things I go through on a daily basis having triplets. I know this will suprise all of you, but I wanted to document what I do use, so I will always remember.

1. I change over 25 diapers in a 24 hour period and the majority of them are dirty.

2. Feeding babies takes about 8-9 hours a day total. That is more time spent feeding babies than I get sleep.

3. Doing laundry isn't a simple task anymore. I do at least one batch a day, maybe two that consists completely of the boys stuff.

4. We use 54 bibs and 54 plus burp cloths a day.

5. We use 18 bottles a day. Thank goodness for dishwashers.

6. Using 18 bottles a day means I use one small can of formula a day.

Having triplets is no easy task, but looking at the boys each day I realize how lucky I am. They are so cute and are getting so big. We have finally graduated from preemie clothes to newborns and I am using up my last newborn diapers and then we will start on size 1's. It is just amazing to see how fast they are growing and changing each day. What was life ever like without them.

Oxygen Free

This morning Matt and I took Brock and Collin to get their oxygen monitored. We also got to weigh in. Brock is up to 6 lbs. 5 oz. and Collin weighs 6 lbs. 13 1/2 oz. I can't believe they are finally that big. Collin was monitored while he ate and he did so well he doesn't have to have oxygen when he eats anymore. Brock was monitored while he slept and while he ate and he dropped a little, so he is still on for another week and we will take him in again. So, one down and one to go. They are doing really well though. They are sleeping for about 5 hours at night and that is a big bonus. I think it is because they are now eating 3 oz. and so their tummies are fuller.

Paige and Kayla are my two trials right now. Every morning Paige cries because she doesn't want to leave me and she wants me to go to school and stay all day with her. We have this battle every morning and it is starting to wear on me. Next week spud harvest starts, so she will get a little break, but then it will be torture again when school starts. I hope she figures out that school isn't that bad and that I will be home when she gets out of school. Then Kayla. I don't even know where to start. She is in to yelling at me and slamming doors and disobeying constantly. She was never like this before. She also doesn't want to go to preschool on the mornings she has it. It is a battle to get her ready and out the door with Matt. I am hoping that this is their little rebellion stage for me spending so much time with the boys and that they will eventually get over all of this. I am hoping sooner that later, because it is not fun.
